She joins Kanye West, Nas, and Marilyn Manson in the pantheon of musicians who have recently hung themselves from the cross and/or donned the crown of thorns.

Some folks, including the Catholic Church and "people who are sick of Madonna," are pretty ticked about her crucifying herself on stage. Frankly, I don't think Mrs. Ritchie took it far enough. True, her disco-ball cross is a lot sexier than the original wooden one. But could she not get her crew to whip up a crucifix stripper pole? Why isn't she vogueing up there? Where's the cone-boob bra?
