This week's Jesus of the Week is not Jesus Christ, but rather Jesus Roman, contestant on Fox Television's American Idol. He is a Jesus, after all, and this is Jesus of the Week. After all.
You remember Jesus Roman, right? He's the one with the twin brother Noel who's two years younger than him. He's the one who sang the forgettable rendition of Brian McKnight's "Back at One." He's the one who didn't get voted to the final twelve and was told by Paula Abdul that he looked "defeated" when he came out to perform. Right. That's the one.
I was surfing through his interview on idolonfox.com and he says one of his talents is being a handyman. Hmm... carpentry? That's about as close as he gets to the King of Kings. In fact, I believe William Hung of "She Bangs" fame -- just google it, trust me -- is much more likely to reach religious icon status than Jesus Roman.
Cool name, though.
