No. J2K120

Hey. Even the best of us need a day off sometimes. Hell, I took a year off once. But never mind that now.

It's hard to believe this one went out of print, but a copy of the epic tale Jesus' Day Off could be yours on Amazon.com.... if you have $72.50 to burn.

The book description reads, "It's hard work performing miracles, making up stories for free, and spreading joy throughout the world. So when the miracles start to go wrong, Jesus is told to take the day off, relax, have some fun. . . and he does!"

Whatever! I think it's a pretty big miracle that this book ever got published!

But, I really appreciate the editor who went out on a limb for this one-- if only for this great cover image. It's just so nice to see Jesus relaxing for once-- trading in his stuffy work clothes for more casual clown garb and kicking back with a game of Holy-hacky-sack-in-the-halo.

There's also a mini-review from Horn Books on Amazon.com that insightfully adds, "Jesus and the importance of downtime is an odd combination; the humor is both lame and misplaced."

Brutally honest! Give The Kid a break! Lame AND misplaced... sounds like a fine piece of literature to me.

Big ups to Disciple Graham for passing this one our way.
