Every now and again I feel compelled to reach up there on the bookshelf next to my copy of "The Sensuous Woman" and grab "Jesus and the Twelve" from Good Will Publishers, Inc., located in one of my favorite towns in North Carolina that begins with a "G" and ends with "ia," Gastonia.

You've seen some of the stunning images from this work in these pages before, and it is with that same honest, cavalier reverence that I now give you my very own namesake, Disciple Peter (no, I wasn't named after Peter Graves).

Look at that red hair, that full beard. Little did you know that Peter was the only Scotsman among JC's chosen 12. He also has that "Hello sailor" glint in his eyes, the meaning of which I know not.
