Whoever started that business about mothers-in-law being nightmarish shrews never met mine. As in, she's not a nightmarish shrew. In fact, she's one hell of a woman. If you don't believe me, just check out this postcard she sent me from the Prince of Peace Museum in Gettysburg, PA. Who doesn't love a really nice diorama now and again? I know I do. This baby happens to be titled "Christ and the Centurion" depicting a "high ranking officer" who "humbly seeks the help of Christ for his ailing servant."

Dig the body language. The centurion seems to be saying, "Hey, can I get a break here or what? Jesus Christ!"

Meanwhile, you've got JC adopting a somewhat foppish pose ..."What's it worth to ya, big boy?"
